WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS
Our strength is found in designing a safari tailored to satisfy your travel requirements. It is important that we understand your special interests, goals and objectives, likes and dislikes favorite outdoor activities, hobbies, etc. This will help us create the appropriate safari itinerary for you.

SIZE OF PARTY
You decide the size of your party whether it's just yourself, you and your spouse, the entire family or a group of friends. Voyage Safaris specializes in intimate parties of two to eighteen travelers.

TRAVEL DATES
What are your preferred dates of travel, including international air travel time? Please remember that most direct flights to East Africa connect in Europe . You will need to allow one and a half days for travel to East Africa and one day for your return flight home to the USA . It is imperative for all trip planning to start with confirmed international air reservations.

TRAVEL SEASON AND WEATHER
The best seasons to visit East Africa are mid-June to early November and late December through mid-March. Because Kenya and Tanzania are located on or near the equator, there are no extremes in temperature and very little humidity. Most of your safari will be conducted at elevations of 4500 ft. or more above sea level. The nights can be cold, ranging from 45 to 60°F and days, warm, ranging from 65 to 90°F. The long rains may come from April to the end of May and the short rains, November to late December. The coolest months are June and July; the warmest months are January and February.

SAFARI COSTS
Because every Lodge and Safari Camp is unique and varies in price, the cost varies depending on the length of stay, and properties visited and type of flights. Due to the complicated logistics involved in planning a safari, we recommend that we organize the entire trip from beginning to end. The cost quoted to you (unless stated) will include all your accommodations, meals, activities, private charters, schedule flights and transfers. You will receive an exact list of items included and those excluded in our proposal itinerary.

BOOKING YOUR SAFARI
Due to the exclusive nature of some lodges, Tented Camps, private homesteads and ranches, accommodation availability is limited. Therefore, we suggest planning your Africa adventure as far in advance as possible. Six months to a year is recommended if you would like to travel during the high seasons of Christmas, New Years, July and August. If you are flexible with your travel times February, March, September and October are excellent months as well to go on safari. However, anytime you want to go, give us a call and we will advise you of all the possibilities.
